Underground Empathy - England Collection 1
$19.00 - $25.00
These bracelets are a part of the England Collection 1. Upon arrival to London, Ada was charged with the task to list things that were different from her home in the USA. The first was vehicles driving on the other side of the street. The second was about the different signs. The many signs for the underground subways stuck with her and it was the most straightforward inspiration for her art to date. This is empathy for the public and public transportation is arguably the most symbolic virtue of the masses, a collective efficiency for everyone's sake.
For this piece, Ada selected and purchased stones from a wholesale store in the "City of London" neighborhood of London, England, and from materials she selected and purchased from the gift shop at the London Eye.
Ada went on to model the original bracelets with her uncle in various parts of London.
